Les substances perfluoroalkylées et polyfluoroalkylées (SPFA), plus connues sous le nom « PFAS » (de l’anglais per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), également appelées polluants éternels du fait de leur persistance dans l’environnement1, autrefois aussi dénommées composés perfluorés, sont des composés organofluorés synthétiques comportant un ou plusieurs groupes fonctionnels alkyle per- ou polyfluorés. Elles contiennent au moins un groupement perfluoroalkyle –CnF2n2,3. Il existe probablement entre six et sept millions de PFAS4. Source : wikipedia
