Elle fonctionne selon une logique structurée, alimentée par des groupes qui y trouvent intérêt, pointe le dernier rapport du Panel international sur l’environnement informationnel (IPIE). Divers acteurs puissants y sont identifiés : majors pétrolières, groupes industriels, réseaux politiques conservateurs et même certains États.
