En Norvège, le ministre de l'Énergie a inauguré officiellement ce 26 septembre la première usine au monde de transport et de stockage transfrontalier de CO2 à Øygarden, près de Bergen (ouest de la Norvège). 1,5 million de tonnes de CO2 par an. L'installation qui fait la fierté de la Norvège est baptisée « Northern Lights » (« aurores boréales » en anglais). Elle est constituée d'un terminal de réception de CO2, de pipelines par lesquels circulera ce CO2 et d'installations sous-marines où il sera stocké.
