The Global Climate Highlights 2025 report provides authoritative climate data and concise insight on a global scale about 2025's climate conditions, covering surface and sea surface temperature, heat stress, sea ice extent in the Arctic and Antarctic, among others.

Voor het eerst is de gemiddelde wereldtemperatuur in 2024 boven de kritieke drempel van 1,5°C gestegen ten opzichte van pre-industriële niveaus. Volgens gegevens van de Europese Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) bedroeg de gemiddelde temperatuur in 2024 maar liefst 1,6°C hoger.
