Depuis deux ans, je partage l’intuition, de plus en plus ancrée, que l’intelligence artificielle pose la question du partage des gains de productivité, comme la révolution industrielle du XIXᵉ siècle l’avait posée avant elle. À chaque fois, le capital s’approprie ces gains, au détriment du travail, au motif que c’est lui qui mécanise l’économie. L’argument n’est pas faux. Mais il oublie une vérité essentielle : le capital n’existe jamais seul. Il est toujours, d’une manière ou d’une autre, une cristallisation du travail humain. Karl Marx l’avait parfaitement compris.
